Film Event: Defying the Nazis: the Sharp's War

Tuesday, April 30 at 2pm in the Library auditorium
Join us for a free screening of the PBS Ken Burns and Artemis Joukowsky III documentary film Defying the Nazis: the Sharp's War, presented as part of the Library's programming in honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day.

This is the never-before-told story of Waitstill and Martha Sharp, an American minister and his wife from Wellesley, Massachusetts, who left their children behind in the care of their parish and boldly committed to a life-threatening mission in Europe. Over two dangerous years they helped save scores of imperiled dissidents and refugees fleeing the Nazi occupation across Europe.

Running time is 80 minutes.  Refreshments will be served and all are welcome.
